Keeping you informed about changes in eAdventist
Hi Brain: My name is John Lawrence, 1st Elder, Deltona SDA Church in Deltona Florida. We recently changed pastor’s and the new pastor Roosevelt Marsden had his account activated and the past pastor Dale Long had his deactivated. So with the new pastor taking over would not all of the information that was in eAdventist under Dale Long transfer to Roosevelt Marsden along with the SMS phone number 844-709-2357. Under Pastor Marsden is says that we have to request a number, the church members are listed but the past text messages, and emails do not show or I can not access them or send anything out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your help.
Good question, John. Yes, your church’s lists can all be taken over by Pastor Marsden. It looks like he has already been added as List Admin on both of your lists. Let me know if you have any other questions about this.
Our membership still shows the names of 2 members that transferred to Decatur, IL church last year.
Robin, if you send the names of these members to us by emailing “help@eadventist.net”, we’ll look at your membership records and see what happened.
If you email us the member names at help@eadventist.net, we can take a look at their records.
Hi Brian, my name is Sharon Martin of Covenant SDA church , Southwest Ranches/Pembroke Pines FL, currently our membership status is averaging 50 members on Sabbath, since the Pandemic, some members are attending church elsewhere and did not request any transfers, as it is now the membership stands over 200. What do you recommend.
Thank you and blessings.
Good question. The Church Manual gives some great reasons for keeping members in your records even when they don’t attend. You can use “Involvement” n eAdventist to identify members who attend regularly, attend occasionally, moved away, can’t attend for health reasons, etc. This article shows how – https://help.eadventist.net/article/195-involvement
When I came on as church clerk, I noticed a similar issue. I approached the church board, they created a “Missing Member Committee” from there we were able to approach the members delicatly and determine what they wanted to do wiuth their membership. It was a very helpful thing to do. here is a helpful guideline —Church Member Re-connect Ministry
